One of our two larger traditional thatched irish cottages
Cottage No 8 is one of the more generously proportioned of our three cottages. It sleeps 7 people, so it is suitable for larger families and small groups. Here you have a very spacious sitting/dining room with traditional antique dining table and chairs along with more contemporary style lounge furniture for your modern comforts. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything one might require to prepare and serve meals at the cottage.
There are four bedrooms; downstairs, two king sized bedrooms and a cosy single, and a then upstairs, a traditional style twin room with wash basin. The bathroom which is located on the ground floor, has a bath with shower and a toilet, there is also a separate WC on the ground floor.
Eco holidays
With both of the cottages we like to be as eco friendly as we can. We use all environmentally friendly cleaning products and have installed a low energy output heating system with an air source heat pump which keeps the house on a constant heating cycle. We encourage our guests to be as kind to our houses as we are by separating their garbage from their recycle and trying to use the local recycling facility for bottles. Shopping at the local farmers markets on Saturday (in Ballyvaughan) and Fridays (in Kinvara) helps to reduce the amount of waste created by our guests.
